Blood and Plunder and refitting old ships

So I acquired the Blood and Plunder rules last week and am really seeing some potential here. So I'm getting together a demo game for the local store. Refitted one of my first pirate ships. A bit small, made from the old Gary Chalk design.  But it seems to work. Stole the sails from a model ship at a local craft store.

2nd Game of Men who would be Kings

2nd game, 4 players per side, 24 points each. Played well but forgot the 3 foot per player rule. Thus the table was a bit tight. Played the destroy the buildings scenario. Very tough on the Colonials, had to destroy the buildings but take as few casualties as possible. Native victory in the end.

There is a Mutiny afoot in the highlands of Frangistan! The British and are out to put it down and have been joined by a small force of French Marines and sailors.
Our first game of Ospreys new Men who would be Kings rules at Discover Games in Fayetteville. 3 24point forces slugging it out. Rules played fun and quick! Everyone seemed to like them and orders were placed for new forces.

My Ottoman Blucher project begins.

So last Saturday, David put on a big Blucher game using his 28mm Front Rank Russians and French. All well painted and based on 3x3 bases. Loved the game and the scenic effect! So I am now going to madly build an Ottoman army to face David's Russians. I started by rebasing some janissaries that I painted years ago. 17 more units to go.

New Projects for 2017 Lizardmen and Boxers

Barely a two weeks into the new year and I've already committed to 2 new projects. A Lizardman army for Kings of war and the Boxer Rebellion (hopefully to be a group project). Fortunately I already had some stuff on hand that either needed to be painted or just dusted off.

Tanks for 15mm Great War- British

Yes, I'm building WWI in 25mm and 15mm! Just finished some Mk V's and Whippets. The two tanks with some white dusting are from Battlefront. The others are from a 3-d printer.
